Nathan Sawaya’s “The Art of the Brick” is now showing in Tel Aviv, Shanghai, New York City and…Graham, NC?
Wow. If you live anywhere nearby, you really should check it out. I mean, how often are you going to see life-size sculptures built entirely of Legos? And how often do you get to Graham? (Never, in my case.)
Besides, this is art everyone can appreciate.

My engineer husband is fascinated by the size and complexity of the sculptures.
I love the artist’s vision—people freaking out in one way or another—and his sense of humor.
My son thinks Sawaya has the coolest job on the planet.
Graham is pretty cool, too. We ate lunch at the Graham Soda Shop and Grill, which looks just like all the restaurants in action films—including the cute, bored teenage waitresses. (Be sure to order the sweet potato fries.)
I could go on, but I think we’ll both be happier if I let the pictures tell the story.

Getting into the spirit.
